J. Alfred Maggot

J. Alfred Maggot is a guardian of Insectika, and servant of Queen Slug-for-a-Butt. Earthworm Jim encounters him as the mini-boss of Buttville, the final level of the original video game.

J. Alfred Maggot is actually the rear end of the Queen's ovipositor, her giant egg-sac, and namesake of the level.

J. Alfred Maggot is fought in a room with a floor that constantly moves to the left. Jim must continually jump and whip or shoot him while avoiding his projectiles and moving to the right, or he will be drawn into a spiked wall by the moving floor. Defeating J. Alfred Maggot causes the floor to collapse, and allows Jim to make his way along to the front end of the ovipositor to Queen Slug-for-a-Butt for the final showdown.
