Doc Duodenum is an anthropomorphic bodily organ and the boss of Intestinal Distress, a level in the original Earthworm Jim. Although he has a habit of spitting out a deadly bile from his body, he's a rather neat and tidy individual (according to the manual). Doc Duodenum and his level are not in the SNES version of the game.
The reason for this is because of Nintendo's anti-blood and gore policies.
Although he did not appear in the level, Villi People is said to be his summer home in the Earthworm Jim 2 manual.
He also makes a few appearances in the Marvel Absured comics of Earthworm Jim paying Evil the Cats lawyers to destroy jim along with Major Mucus and Queen Slug-For-a-Butt.

- According to one of the game show questions in Earthworm Jim 2, Doc Duodenum's favorite cheese is camembert.
- He was supposed to appear in the tv series but along with major mucus never was added to it.
- He can be killed in 1 shot with a worm whip and 3 shots with a mega plazma.
- His main goal was to eat Earthworm Jim since he is hostile to any trespassers in his intestanel planet.
